Free roof inspection with deck photos before we talk money - GAF and Owens Corning certified installation
Training & Ongoing Support
You don’t need to have spent a day on a roof to own a Birchbark Roofing franchise. What you need is the willingness to run a careful, organized business. We teach the rest. From your first week in training through the day your first crew rolls out, you’re backed by a system built over more than two decades inside the Cedarwell family of roofing companies. The training is structured, the playbooks are written, and someone answers the phone when you call with a question.
Initial Training
We start with operations because that’s where a roofing business lives or dies. You’ll learn how to price a job, schedule a crew, order materials from GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning, IKO, Atlas, Tamko, and Boral, and walk a homeowner through the written price before anything gets torn off. Then we teach the trade itself: how a roof goes together, what failing flashing looks like, why underlayment choice matters in a wind-driven rain. You won’t be installing shingles yourself, but you will know when a job is being done right. We also cover the software that runs quotes, job files, and the photo documentation we send before the crew leaves. Hiring is part of training too: what to look for in a technician, how to run background checks, and what a uniformed, careful crew signals to a family watching from the kitchen window. And we teach local marketing from day one, because that’s what fills the calendar during your first months.
Launch Support
Opening the doors is not a solo exercise. We help set up your local marketing before your first truck is lettered: Google Business Profile, local landing pages, the ad accounts that actually produce roofing leads in your market. Our lead engine routes inquiries to your phone, which matters because a live person answers it 24 hours a day at Birchbark. We also coach you through your first estimates and first installs. That first job is where the 365-Day Done Right Promise becomes real, and we want you walking onto that driveway knowing exactly how to explain the price, the process, and the clean-up plan. If the first tear-off doesn’t go smoothly, you’ll have a direct line to someone who has fixed that same problem before.
Ongoing Support
- Field coaching: regular check-ins on job quality, pricing, and how the 365-Day Done Right Promise is being delivered on real roofs in your market.
- Marketing support: national brand campaigns, local ad guidance, and updated landing pages that keep your phone ringing season after season.
- Vendor relationships: negotiated access to GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning, IKO, Atlas, Tamko, and Boral materials so you’re not calling distributors cold.
- Technology: the software stack for quotes, scheduling, job photos, and clean-up documentation stays current without you chasing updates.
- Operations playbooks: written procedures for tear-off, install, clean-up, and the shoe-covers-and-drop-cloths standard every Birchbark crew follows.
- Peer network: other Cedarwell family owners who run the same playbook and share what’s working in their towns.
You’re Never Alone
Roofing done carefully is a standard, not a slogan, and it’s easier to hold that standard when someone has your back. Call (424) 766-4937 or request more information below. A live person answers.
