Every job at Birchbark Roofing is priced the same way: we look at your specific roof, write down the full price for that specific job, and hand it to you before anyone picks up a tool. What a Visit Actually Costs You to Find Out

Nothing. The estimate visit is free. We come out, walk the roof, take a look at what’s going on, and put together a written price for the work we’re recommending. We’ll walk you through what we found and why we’re recommending what we are. The visit typically takes less than an hour. At the end of it, you have a written price in hand and zero obligation to move forward. If you want time to think it over, take it. We’re not going anywhere, and we don’t use the visit to pressure you into a decision on the spot.

When People Usually Call Us

Storm season brings the most urgent calls – a branch comes down, a few shingles lift, water shows up on a ceiling that was dry the day before. Those calls don’t wait for a convenient time, which is why a live person answers every call we get, any hour of the day or night. If something happened to your roof last night, you shouldn’t be leaving a voicemail at 7 a.m. and hoping someone calls back by noon.

The planned calls – full replacements, major repairs – tend to cluster in late spring through early fall. Dry weather matters for a roof replacement: the materials need it, the crew works better in it, and the job gets done right the first time. Fall also brings the pre-winter check calls, which is practical thinking. Better to find a soft spot in October than discover it after the first hard freeze.

Is the estimate really free?

Do you offer financing or a monthly payment plan?

No, and that’s deliberate. We price each job off a free written estimate – you see the full amount in writing before any work begins, and that’s the only pricing mechanism we use. No hourly rates, no subscriptions, nothing to sign up for. We’ve found that a clear, fixed written price causes fewer problems than any alternative.

Can I use two offers at the same time?

One offer per household per visit. If you’re not sure which one applies to your situation, the person who answers your call can walk you through it – and as noted, that’s always a live person, not a recording.

Will the price change once your crew is on the roof?

No. The written estimate is the price. If we get up there and find something we didn’t see from the ground – which does happen – we stop, come back down, and write a new quote for the additional work before we touch it. You approve the new number first, or we leave that part alone. No surprises on the invoice.
